Layan Quba
Layan has nearly two decades of experience leading large-scale transformation, strategic advisory, and complex program delivery across the Middle East. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, advising senior leaders on their most critical decisions and ensuring that what is decided gets delivered.
Her corporate career spans Microsoft, IBM Global Business Services, and Huron Consulting Group. At Microsoft, where she spent almost eight years, she directed complex cloud transformation programs across a strategic accounts portfolio, leading globally matrixed teams and multi-partner delivery consortiums from deal shaping through execution. She advised C-level executives on cloud strategy and digital capability building. At IBM Global Business Services, she supported large-scale technology programs across government and defense sectors in the GCC. At Huron Consulting Group, she led strategic growth advisory and restructuring engagements across MENA, including an organizational restructuring engagement for a global media and entertainment network spanning global offices.
Since 2024, Layan has operated as an independent strategy advisor, taking on select engagements with senior leaders and organizations navigating transformation, restructuring, and periods of signifcant change. Her engagements span executive advisory, transformation readiness, operating model redesign, program recovery, and organizational restructuring. Her recent work also includes helping senior leaders navigate the organizational, operational, governance, and accountability questions emerging alongside AI adoption and more agentic ways of working.
Beyond her advisory practice, Layan chairs the Board of Alamine Organization, a youth nonprofit she founded, lectures in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (human-centered design) as an industry practitioner at university level, and is completing a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management at Harvard.
